This sweet newborn session took place at the Albrecht’s home on Lake Norman. This was my third time photographing this family (see Jennifer’s maternity session here), and I am always thrilled with the way the images turn out. A little bit of posed with a little bit of candid, and it always results in beautiful pictures for the family to cherish for the years ahead. Thank you again, Albrecht Family, for trusting me with these special times in your lives!
I absolutely loved this maternity session! Jennifer wanted to do their session at their home which is nestled on Lake Norman. It’s a beautiful home and Brad does an excellent job at maintaining their yard, so it was picture perfect for a backyard session. Keep an eye out on the blog for their sweet little arrival that came not long after this shoot. Baby Lily’s newborn session has been published on a few blogs, so stay tuned!
I have the pleasure of calling this couple friends of mine. In case you haven’t seen Melanie’s Furman University maternity shoot, you can view it here. Enjoy a sneak peek of sweet Baby Reece’s newborn session!
So, how I actually ended up with the pleasure of photographing this sweet little guy is pretty interesting. A fellow photographer who I’ve known for a couple of years now (Julia Laible – Julia Laible Photography) had been booked to capture Toby’s birth. On the night of July 13th, I got a message from Julia; she was in a bit of a panic, as she was out of town in West Virginia and had just been informed that Toby was on his way. A whole month early to be exact! What are the odds he would come on the couple of days she would go out of town? But that’s exactly what happened!
She kindly asked me if I would be willing to capture his arrival, knowing she probably wouldn’t make it back to Charlotte in time. I have always admired Julia’s work, so it really meant a lot that she trusted me to do this for her. So a big thanks to Julia for giving me this opportunity. I just love, love capturing birthdays. An amazing experience for sure; there is truly nothing like it!
Please enjoy some of my favorites from Toby’s arrival. 🙂
