I think the pictures speak for themselves in describing the beauty of this rainy day bridal session. Katherine is a beautiful woman, and add the backdrop of Hightower Hall, and you get stunning results. Please enjoy this sneak peek into her session!
Today’s blog post is a Southern styled wedding shoot I photographed earlier this year. The planner & designer for this shoot (Ashley with Magnolia Events) was inspired by photographs of her grandmother’s wedding day, which are displayed in her office. “Looking at these photos made me wonder what my grandmother’s wedding might look like today,” she said.
As you can see below, this elegant southern wedding shoot was a perfect balance of classic-southern with a contemporary, romantic flair. In the South, there are so many special details that can be incorporated into a wedding, and many of them translate through generations. The shoot took place at a Southern estate – Hutchison Estate at Arrowhead Dairy Farm – and the design incorporated many traditions of the South, including a Bible bouquet, vintage tins which served as flower vases, toile, homemade moon pies, bottled Coca-Cola, cake pulls, lace and silhouettes. Lush with vibrant flowers, this design is perfect for any bride who wants to have a charming southern wedding with a contemporary twist.
I absolutely loved this team of vendors and am thrilled with the way everything turned out. Find all vendor information and web links at the bottom of this post. Enjoy a peek!
